The City of Kings Colonial and Modern + Casa Aliaga
We begin our tour at the Huaca Pucllana with a panoramic view of this important ceremonial center belonging to the Lima culture. We head towards the center of Lima, passing through the different neighborhoods of San Isidro, Lince and Cercado.
We will appreciate the Palace of Justice, Museum of Lima, Museum of Italian Art, French Palace and Plaza San Martín. Our pedestrian visit begins in the Plaza de Armas where, in addition to appreciating the Cathedral of Lima, the Municipal Palace, the Government Palace and the Archbishop's Palace; we will have free space to take photos of the attractions.
We are going to step into the Convent of San Francisco and explore one of its prominent highlights – the catacombs. These underground passages lie beneath the church and serve as the final resting place for the city's former residents. Within these catacombs rest the remains of approximately 25,000 individuals, offering a unique glimpse into the history of the area.
CASA DE ALIAGA
After the founding of Lima on January 18th, 1535, Captain Jerónimo de Aliaga y Ramírez received a colonial house in the elegant area near the house of Francisco Pizarro, the Spanish Conqueror, (today the Government Palace).
Ever since then the Aliaga family and their descendants have lived in the house, thus making it the oldest dwelling in the Americas that has been home to the same family for 17 generations.
Rebuilt and reshaped after the earthquakes, and some changes in architectural trends, the mansion has served for almost five centuries to Lima’s history. Its artistic value emerges from the beauty of its interior space, the poetic and evocative of their environments and the original distribution of the rooms.
As you wander through the beautiful rooms of this old mansion one can enjoy both the Colonial and Republican history of the city of Lima.
Right after our visit we will enjoy a decadent lunch at this historic site!

Cusco City Tour + Choco Museum
Our Cusco city tour begins in the morning, when we’ll first head to the wonderful Koricancha, next door to Santo Domingo Church. According to the chroniclers who wrote during the period directly after the Spanish Conquest, the Koricancha was the most sacred and most important temple in the Inca Empire. Its walls were covered with gold, and life-size statues of plants and animals – all made of pure gold and silver – decorated its rooms and hallways. Sadly, this wealth was stripped out by the Spanish conquistadors. It remains a magnificent temple, however, and your guide will take you around the Koricancha, showing you details that you almost certainly miss if you visited without a guide.
After visiting the Koricancha, we’ll head to Cusco Cathedral, located on the Plaza de Armas. Built between 1560 and 1654 on top of the foundations of an existing Inca temple, this spectacular cathedral houses many works of art by the Cusco School of painters, and its main altar and pulpit are covered in gold and silver relief work.
You’ll also see elements of indigenous religious symbolism incorporated into the church by the native people who worked on its construction, such as the carved head of a jaguar on the doors.
Our next stop is the imposing Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, which sits on a hill above Cusco. Here you will see some of the finest examples of Inca stonework and construction, including massive rocks that were carefully cut and perfectly fitted together to form the walls. From here you’ll also have beautiful panoramic views of Cusco.
After exploring Saysayhuaman we'll head to the choco museum!
*We will go to the choco museum to have a beautiful experience with cocoa

FAQ’s
What is the minimum age of the activity?
2 years old, although in this specific trip, we recommend kids 7 years old and older
When is the best time to visit Peru?
The best time to visit Peru is during the dry season, between April and October, which sees sunny days, bright blue skies in the Andes, and chilly nights. It is a wonderful time to be in Peru, especially if you plan to go on a trek, but being the peak season, early booking is crucial.
Visitors will notice more rain between November and April, with the wettest months being January and February. Travel at this time does offer the advantage of fewer visitors, greener scenery, and some lower rates for flights and hotels.
The Amazon also experiences more rain between November and March, but this should not deter you from visiting – the flora and fauna will still be abundant and there are always breaks in showers.
Which airport should I fly to/from?
Lima
Do I carry all my own luggage?
Only the necessary for the 2-day Machu Picchu by train, the rest of the luggage can be left at the hotel.
What fitness/experience do I need?
